We pride ourselves on our spacious, comfortable log cabins, but at Buffalo River Outfitters, we offer much more than just a place to stay. We’re a complete Ozark vacation destination with guides; canoes, rafts and kayaks; horseback riding, mountain bikes, hiking and more. Our classic log cabins have all the amenities - fireplaces, air conditioning, fully-equipped kitchens, wide porches, wooded settings, barbecue grills, and comfortable beds. They are rustic and charming with hardwood floors, pieced quilts on the beds, local paintings and hand-crafted accents, but they were designed to give families and groups lots of elbow room and plenty of comfort. Four even have Jacuzzi tubs. Two cabins are handicapped accessible.

We have six family cabins that sleep six and each has three full size beds. There are four upscale cabins, one of which will sleep up to 12 people. The remaining three cabins have television and VCR as well as the other amenities. One has a queen size bed and the other two have king size beds.

You’ll want to enjoy an evening relaxing in front of our native stone fireplaces and we make sure its neither work nor an extra expense. We provide all the firewood you can burn, stacked and ready for you.

On warmer evenings, our wide porches are inviting. Rock gently on the wooden swings and gliders to the tune of breezes stirring the trees. We’re located high atop Silver Hill overlooking the Tyler Bend area of the river and, even in hot summertime, this is a cool and refreshing place to gather.

Just bring your groceries and move right in to our equipped kitchen. Each cabin also has its own barbecue grill.

Your days can be as busy or as lazy as you please. There’s plenty to do with our guided hunting and fishing trips; canoes, rafts, kayaks and shuttle service for floating; miles of trails to explore on foot, bike or horseback, and day-trip convenience to museums, shopping, crafts, and shows. Noted for its scenery as well as outstanding smallmouth bass fishing, the Buffalo River is an inviting haven for all kinds of outdoors activities.

We find it hard to believe anyone would want to leave here, but if you must travel, we’re just 25 miles from shopping in Harrison; 43 miles from Eureka Springs, a historic Victorian spa city; and 50 miles from Branson, Missouri, the country music capital.

There’s an excellent nine-hole golf course less then 10 miles away and Hurricane River Cave is just a few miles north of us. The Ozark Folk Center at Mountain View with its crafters, traditional music, herb gardens, and famous Blanchard Springs Park is 95 miles to the east and the Heritage Folk Center at Leslie, which hosts all kinds of special shows and exhibits, is our neighbor to the south.
